Great birthday week!
Relaxing week compared to last week being on call and a GREAT birthday week! What can I say? I have great friends and family. And on top of that I had a GREAT surprise that I was not expecting at all. Now I feel bad, lol! I wasn't expecting the visit and I had already made plans for my birthday but we DID manage to wiggle some time together and get reacquainted! That was so much fun.

My buddy was in town also so we got to hang out and have a birthday dinner which was really nice. We don't get to hang out as much as we used to but we made good use of the time we had. There also was a lot of work going on as I still have TONS of paperwork to fill out. The loan for the house that I am getting for my family was approved but there is so much more paperwork to do. Can you tell doing paperwork is NOT the most enjoyable thing to do?

And that is weird because I *do* like writing Architectural and Design documents for Storage Area Networking. It helps me think out the problems and solutions and put them into a document that everyone can use. I often tell my boss "It's my job to write every piece of documentation so that if I ever get hit by a bus, anyone off the street can sit in my chair and do my job. I think that is the best way to look at your career. Not so much about making $$$ or prestige or glory. NO! It's about helping others and keeping the business running the way it should.

The only things I want to mention, besides my LOVE for God and how far more blessed than I should be, is MotoGP starts at the end of next month and Hayden is well, looking slow as always. Stupid non-factory bikes! Also, the Bucs have the #1 pick in the draft and I do NOT want them to pick up ANY quarterbacks!! We need more beef of the offensive line, another linebacker, definitely more power on the Dline and then we can worry about QB.

Well I think that is about it for the week. Again, I feel far more blessed than I deserve to be -- but I am not the final decision. That is on God's shoulders! With these blessings He has bestowed on me, it helps me help other people which I think in the end, that is one of God's goals for mankind. Not to kill each other, but to help your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Have a great week and CHEERS!

Off call today!
YAY! I am off call today I think at midnight. It's definitely taken up a lot of my time. This week at work went a little better. Even my bosses know I am getting beat up a bit and piled on with a ton of questions about certain issues that I haven't been involved in too deeply yet. To say my plate is full is an understatement but I do like the job, where I work and who I work for so right now I am happy.

The Godly blessings I have received have enabled me to help my family which I am really excited about. When God blesses you so much it is your duty to pass those blessings on to others. At least that is what I hear when I pray and what God whispers over my shoulder. No matter how long I am on this earth I am going to help others as much as I can.

Now with that said, the new house for my sister should close at the end of this month which would be great! I am really happy for them as they deserve it and a place to call their own and I am sure they are tired of renting. Now they can have a home of their own and improve it however they see fit! How cool is that?

As for me, I am just working hard. I still have not found a Church here yet but I am reading my Bible every night and my daily devotionals. I really do need to find a good Church to call home but am really waiting to see where I might buy a home. I suppose I have to sell my home in VA first so that all depends on the person who is renting it now. He's been there since I left VA so I suppose he likes it. It's a nice neighborhood that is for sure.

I guess that is about it for the week. Keep your mind on God and He will bless you. When you have troubles, pray. When you are blessed, PRAY! You should always be praying (ABP!!!). I'll check in with you next week!

....and I am on call!
On call through next Friday so.... this is going to be a short update. Still working on the house deal with my sister so we'll see how that goes. Work was hectic this week and I am hoping I adjust sooner. Working hard but you know me, I don't have a head filter so I say what I am thinking which more often than not makes people upset or just shake their heads at me. I am not a mean person, just -- again -- no head filter.

Hope you've been watching the news and what is going on. I cannot wait until we get rid of Obama. All he has done is serve Islam and foreigner and done nothing for Americans. He say he has but he isn't. The bad part is people who are running against him aren't much better either. It's the lesser of two evils but that's how it goes. Be careful who you vote for!

Honestly, that is it. I've been praying a lot for my family, for my friends and for people I don't even know. I know I am blessed far more than I feel I deserve and I need to work harder to keep Him pleased. That's what I want to focus my life on. No what I want or need but what HE wants and needs of me.

Have a great week!!

Lots of things in the works...
Got a home deal going on right now -- though it's not for me, it's for my family. I'm hoping this works out so we can get them out of the place they are in now and a place they can call home. It's just a mountain of paper work to do and dealing with credit inquiries which hammer your credit report (which is stupid, if you ask me!).

Work is fine right now. Lots of things going on there as well. In fact I am supposed to be "on call" next week so let's see how that goes. I just hope nothing BREAKS! There are a lot of things I need to catch up with and well, it's a high pressure environment so I just need to make sure that I do the best job that I can do and leave the rest to God. That is all you really can do. Lay your burdens at the feet of Jesus and he will take care of you.

I was in Sebring on Saturday working on that project I listed above, did paperwork this weekend and now the SuperBowl is on so I think I will watch that. So that's it for the rest of the week. I know it's short but sweet. May the Lord bless you, keeping your faith in Him.
