WEEK 1 | WEEK 2 | WEEK 3 | WEEK 4

Week ending Sunday, December 26th, 2010

Hope you all had as fantastic a Christmas as I did. Christmas Eve I went and had dinner downtown at the Gas Lamp with my friends at Bucca Di Beppo. This is a fantastic Italian restaurant and the food was amazing! We spent a lot of money but that was pretty much taken care of. Hung out with Chance, his G/F and their Family so that was really nice.

Christmas Day I went to Murietta to hang out with John, Mel and their family which is always fun. I'm sort of the "adopted kid" of the family and we're all very close. Dinner was fantastic (again!) and it was neat to watch everyone open presents and make funny comments.

That was about it really for my weekend. I didn't go to Church on Sat because there was no Church (on Christmas day, just Christmas evening). No work this week as I am off the ENTIRE week so I am not sure if I am going to head up to Mammoth or not. That is still up in the air. In the meantime I am taking the time off from the gym and work as well.

Now I am going to lay on the couch, watch football and just enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with living (and loving!) the single life. Hope you had a FANSTASTIC Christmas and you were blessed, as I have been, by God.

Bless you all!

WOOT! (No more studying for now! haha)

Yay! All that hard core studying actually paid off as I aced (well almost) my Security+ test for certification. This was REQUIRED by the DoD for me to be able to stay on the contract. That was really odd to me because I don't really work on the network that much. My job encompasses the Storage requirements, not the network. Either way I passed so I am extremely happy.

I was supposed to play golf with Jason this weekend for his birthday but all the rain has pretty much put a nix on all those plans. We'll have to try for next week, possibly. I am not sure as I am thinking about taking the week off between Christmas and New Years to go snowboarding or just actually driving to Mammoth to take it all in. I really like it up there on the Mountains.

I did not make it to Church on Saturday but it's not because I didn't want to go. They are having the Living Nativity again this year and like I said last year, I really --- well it's just not a good place for me to be. I understand they are trying to bring more people to God and to Christ but really, it feels more like a County Fair to me. Bless them for trying but I am sitting it out this year. With this going on they had no Saturday service so I decided to stay in and watch a movie.

This weekend I watched the Bucs play the (ugh) Lions at home -- and LOSE! 0.0. Who'd have thunk it? It really hurts their plans for the playoffs but I don't think that is going to matter as we've been unable to beat any teams that have a winning record this year. Oh well, at least we're not going to have a LOSING record and all of our hurt players will be back next year, so that'll be good!

Well as I sit here I am waiting for Honda to call me when the 2010 REPSOL 1000RR is ready for me to pick it up. I probably will NOT go to Palomar Mountain right away as I need to get my street legs back. It's been a while since I've gone sport riding and certainly a long time since I've raced (3 years!).

Well I think that is about it. Nothing extra ordinary to report. Keeping my nose clean (and to the grindstone) and letting God's will and plans for my life take it's course. If there's anything I've learned it's that God's plan, no matter what they end up being, are far superior to any plans we could conceive on our own. And sometimes, no matter how much we pray for things we want, quite often it's things that are bad for us and God says "No, come this way..."

Amen to that!

Have a great week everyone and talk to you again soon!

Tired (of studying!) :)

Ok well this is going to be short. All this week I have been putting my nose to the grindstone studying for the Security+ exam I have to take this Thursday. It's important for me to pass it the first time because if I don't pass it before December 31st then I have to renew every 3 years (bah!).

Work is going OK even though we're now down to only 5 people (from 9 I think) as people are starting to leave the company as the economy is getting better. I expected it to happen but not quite this fast. Wow. We'll be fine though and I just need to keep working hard, learning as much as possible because in the end you never really know what's going to happen.

Church was awesome on Saturday as always. Love Pastor Bob and his message is always poignant. Took a friend with me and then we went to her dads for a GREAT dinner. I was supposed to play golf on Sunday with Jason but couldn't due to all the studying. Bummer because it was his birthday too but unfortunately that is the way it goes. He knows it isn't personal, that's for sure. Work outs are going fine and yes, I am sore but I am glad to be back.

Well I think that is about it. Oh, I did put a down payment for a new Sport Bike. 2011 CBR1000RR Repsol version. We'll see how that goes. Miss all my family in Florida and an early and very HAPPY and MERRY Christmas to you all :)

Back Home!

Well I had a very good vacation in Florida, to say the least. Flew out of San Diego the day before Thanksgiving and made it to my sister's house right at midnight. The next day we had a really great Thanksgiving dinner (always is because she is a great cook).

Over the course of the week and a half I got a lot of golf in, movies and even helped them move a bit before I left Saturday night. They moved from the place they were in to a much nicer place with an enclosed pool.

While I was there I got to say hi to some friends, go to dinner a lot, hang out with the nieces and my nephew as well as hang out at one of my best friend's house. I flew my niece out from Arkansas for Thanksgiving as well so that was great too. Had to pick up one of them from the HS so I had to walk into the office. That was surreal as I hadn't been in there in years! lol.

My sister also has a Pit Bull that is such a great dog. The only issue I have with her is that she likes to play bite. Not too hard but she does have really sharp teeth so you have to be careful. She can easily rip you to shreds if she wants to, lol.

I know this is short but I am so tired. It's back to work tomorrow so I have to make sure I get some shut eye. I also have to study for the Security+ test that is coming up and then make plans for Mammoth during the Holidays. Also I saw that Honda has a new REPSOL version for 2011 and I am thinking about buying it if the price is truly what they say it is. Not for track days or canyon carving but to just enoying riding.

Well that is it. Hope you had a fanstatic holiday and talk to you later!
